It is pretty interesting when you see a non-ethnic person who speaks native Japanese, but struggles with English. Uncommon as hell. I'm always interested in hearing those people's stories about growing up in a homogenous society where you are immediately seen as an "other" even though your very own culture that you've absorbed since childhood is Japanese.
