I don't have 3ds so I won't be buying it, but good to know it's worthwhile. saw a video from gamespot's show where the dude was asking a PR rep about the game and he kept nagging about the story. Smh, I couldn't even tell you what the character's name is at gunpoint.

The second nub isn't going to fix the online issues (though Nintendo is going the right direction), the lack of games: When your shilling a 10+ year old port that is now 3D! you've got problems, and general apathy toward the thing. Maybe Super Mario Land 3D shows "good use of the 3D" but too bad Nintendo isn't forcing the demo stations they've put out to use that and are using Super Street Fighter 4 --which is decent when not in 3D... and Dead or Alive Dimensions--which is a tolerable port but not great... to show the hardware off.

I know playing online isn't important for most handheld gamers, but playing Mario Kart DS and Pokemon random battles is just a chore. "Do you want to connect to Nintendo Wifi?" Fuck yes I do, why else would I choose random online battle/races in the fucking multiplayer menu, Nintendo? "Okay... connecting... ... ... ... ... ... error: We don't support modern standards. Your router is using those. Too bad!"

It's not outstanding or anything, but it's a really good action game.

As for why its metacritic is hovering around 70 or w/e, well, it's a hard game, it's a handheld game, and it's kind of an ugly game.  For the games media, those things are all problems. 

So yeah I guess if you play Metacritic and not games, go play Uncharted 3 and Skyward Sword and give this a pass.

my conspiracy theory is that they bash on low profile games to make it look like they're doing their jobs.  or occam's razor-- they suck at anything without breadcrumb trails and regenerating health and are the types of people who don't stop to think that it's a problem with their own skills.
