I'm all for gay rights. Just don't talk about it out of both sides of your mouth. The problem with Gaborn is that he pretends to impose ideological purity tests on politicians but he does so quite selectively. Nobody (well normal people don't) lives their lives to these extreme standards and worse break them when they see fit yet still spout off about their disciplined views. In other words he needs to come down off his high horse. Being an actual human being rather than a theory robot of course would help.

What happened?

An old childhood friend of Gaborn's passed away (from some form of cancer I believe, not sure though), and Gaborn had for most of his life thought he loved him.  Of course, from the thread that he posted this, he never once told the man, and the man was 100% straight, and they had grown apart or something along those lines.  It was pretty sad, yeah, and I felt bad for him, but he was definitely wallowing in his self-pity.  I seem to remember White Man telling him to scrote up.

But then in EVERY thread he went into for the next few weeks, he would bring it up as some paper-thin defense for people to stop arguing with him.  It was really immature and disrespectful to whoever this guy was, and whenever someone would point that out, Gaborn would just dig more holes for himself.  I'll try and find a link to some examples.
