Mario Galaxy does look better than most of the uninspired gray and brown garbage on PS3 or 360.

Wii Play was really fun and we should get more games like it, but not in place of traditional games.

HD development has murdered countless developers and PS4 and 720 will only exacerbate that.

None of those things aren't true anymore and I don't see even the hardest core ninfans on GAF saying anything contrary to that.

Being excited to play HD games doesn't change anything. It's a new gen, people will always be excited to play games that look better. Who doesn't want to see Nintendo games in HD?

I don't see the point in Nintendo releasing the Wii U just for it to end up a generation behind again. Given their whole angle of making a console so that they can get the same ports as Sony & MS, to have it be behind in tech of what will be the gen standards is accomplishing nothing. It is also an image concern that they aren't concerned with. People thought the Gamecube was lower tech for some odd reason and people thought the N64 was lower tech than a PSOne that could barely do any 3d. It may be fruitless to fight this image, but silly to encourage it as well.
