Next two days were preemptively shut down. People are certainly treating it like a big deal. Honestly can't remember the last time people fretted over wind and rain. If at all it's snow every other year and it amounts to delaying life for an hour or three.

Well somebody asked about the safety of nuclear reactors. 0_o. I mean...seriously?

Put me in the camp of "it won't be half as bad as they think, it never is", but seeing some of the pics from the early stages of the storm surge are pretty worrying. Apparently Staten Island's gonna be completely underwater.
