Again - it's a situation that people should NOT get themsevles into as both people found themselves in the following cul de sacs :

"I'm right, prove me wrong or i win"

and other than revealing "I wrote that engine" and getting fucked by their place of employment there is no way to progress the argument.

This is why games industry folks are retreating from GAF - gobshittery is a protected right, so games devs have actively kept away.

Unless it's a coordinated PR event, people are aware that its a bear trap.
I was wondering if you had specific examples of what you were referring to. Also, can I safely assume that the people being referenced were Nintenyearolds?

Nope - i'm not going to give the examples as at least one of them still pops in for the drive by troll - and this was during the Sonytard era.

Well, looks like blame space was banned 2 weeks ago. Wonder if it is permanent.

ROFL.  Did he pretty much start threadshitting like he did before once his ban was lifted?  I know you said he started posting as soon as his ban was up, like within minutes of his ban being lifted.  I bet he was all twitchy and sweaty in the hours leading to his ban lifting.

At the time, Evilore was fiercely protective of his little Sony ponies.  I remember one of the GT5/Forza war threads ended up with a Sony employee or something getting banned and Evilore sat the board down for one of his little fireside talks.  And reversed the ban.  Of course.

I remember Che Chou (Turn 10 community manager at the time) constantly shitting up the Forza 3 thread in the run up to that game's release.  You could not have an honest discussion about that game without him rushing in.

Did he ever end up returning Opa's games back to him?

Halo 4 is a piece of shit that wants to play like CoD but with shields. It's an exercise in fucking futility. If you're an exceptional player in Halos there's no point to this game for you given there's weapons that kill in one shot that people don't even have to aim properly with.

You sound like you played pretty competitively. What level did you reach in old Halos?

40s. Halo 3 would have reached farther up the military ranks if I didn't feel like quitting shitty games.

I remember the one where the Heavenly Sword dev got banned for say the cars in PGR looked like toys and it was funny and strange to see a dev getting offed (Denis Dyack not withstanding)  :lol

Posted it earlier, the hyperbole is amazing.

He's literally complaining that instead of being able to drag down the wi-fi icon (which is apparently the first thing someone thinks of when they see a wi-fi icon on an interface), you have to PRESSSSSSsss the Settings button, then you have to PRRRRESSSSSSssss the wi-fi button to see what access points are around.  :lol    This action takes approximately 1 second.

The fact that he would even consider it to be some major difference really shows how both interfaces are JUST FUCKING FINE. Even though you like one better, doesn't mean you have to act like the other one is completely unusable and terrible :rofl

I can't stand that shit Flamenco. I just got an Android phone not a couple weeks ago and I've been able to do shit just fine. This one drop down from the top had me fooled for a bit because I didn't know how to properly swipe it down but other than that this shit is piss easy. Not user friendly because some shit has a different ui set up than you're used to is just wow. You said it hyperbole.

Yeah, nothing is tough to figure out on either ios or android.

I went from an iphone to the shittiest shit android phone money can buy and my only complaint is that the hardware is slow.  I'm not completely lost in the interface, even though it looks like the first smartphone interface ever created.  I think it's one of the earlier versions of android.  The phone itself looks like a blackberry knock off :lol

So basically, he's dumber than most people's grandmas and parents who can operate iPhones with no problems.

To be fair, the Android notifications pulldown is one of the best UI innovations of the platform and something I'm somewhat surprised Apple still hasn't copied.

He's right that iOS isn't magically intuitive like some Apple dorks make it out to be. You have to learn its conventions like any other system (I've had to give tech support to my mom over the phone just like I would for a PC, and there are still some aspects of it that confuse her). I do think it's generally better designed and easier to learn than Android for example, but it's a matter of degree, not magic vs. muggle.

The main advantage all these smartphone operating systems have over PCs isn't so much that it's easier to use/learn as that it's harder to screw up the system with bad installers or runaway processes or malware etc.

He's right about a few outlying examples but there are few people alive who grasp game design as intuitively as  Miyamoto. I'm sure that in addition to those contributions listed, there's also a litany of other changes and improvements for the better that were based on his advice.

Edit- In addition, it was announced a while ago Miyamoto would be stepping back anyways, and focusing on new teams/IPs.

Edit 2-

I don't know if I can stand seeing another one of my beloved franchises harpooned by Miyamoto's toxic gameplay-first philosophies. Can you just imagine?

It's fricking annoying as hell and between that and the garbageification of the lock screen, 4.2 is going down a bad path I'm unsure about.

Before I sold the iPad I was starting to run into a few abandonware apps which would either crash all the time or not even run at all because they were no longer being updated to support iOS updates. A big example - Stanza, which used to be the go-to ereader app, force closes on iOS 6, and is no longer supported because another company bought them out.

I'm pretty sure it was duckroll because he was in the thread I got banned in. Also, there were like 5 mods online at the time, and he was the only one that seemed plausible. It makes sense, since he's a sad, sniveling, half-witted halfling who has awful taste in anything and probably wanks to little girl hentai; of course he'd call me a shit poster.

I could be wrong though.

Is it a rule that they must leave unhelpful, bitter feedback under the banning reason?

That's the gaming side of GAF in a nutshell. This guy actually has something worth being discussed, but he's presented it in such an over-the-top, hyperbolic way that he ensures none of his points actually get seriously discussed.

Whats strange about it? I have an English Mastiff, and she likes to stay inside most of the time. She even likes sleeping in the same bed with me and other members of the family. Same thing with our lhasa apso, except she dosent like being outside at all. Are Jack Russel Terrier liked being outside a lot, but at the end of the day was mostly an inside dog.
