I maintain that if you're in favor of beating your children, you never got beaten hard or frequently enough to know why its wrong and doesnt work. And in the cases where people have been really beaten and turn that around on their kids- i feel sorry for them. I cannot say that the beatings i received ever modified my behavior, they just made me less willing to tell the truth whenever I fucked up or did something wrong for fear of getting another.

Are you afraid to come to your parents with genuine issues your having as a result of the beatings as well? Because I notice this too. They don't go to their parents for advice because of that fear even as adults. It's not like they think they'll get beat but they don't want to deal with what they think will be the same anger.

If you grew up getting beatings meant to make you fear your parents, and you never got brainwashed into thinking that were right to do it, then of course you won't trust them to tell you how to deal with any social matters.

I've met girls who defend their parents beating them when they're over 18 and it just seems they're too immature to survive in the real world.

I used to watch his videos when he first started out, it was a lot less ott and loud,  and I actually did feel nostalgic for those old tv shows and movies. So it was a lot less time consuming that actually rewatching that stuff.

Once he started building a network and added a bunch of other shitty loud "personalities" to the site it all went to shit. Angry Joe being the absolute worst.

The only thing I still watch on there is Todd in the Shadows, and he is considerably less annoying than the rest of them.

AVGN is the only one I still watch anymore. I used to really like Spoony until he went apeshit. Nostalgia Critic and Nostalgia Chick are still decent, I enjoy their work.

Yeah I like AVGN and the Game Sack people (Game Sack is my new discovery and so lately I've been catching up on their episodes). Also Chrontendo but you never see Dr. Sparkle's face... Spoony I've only really watched his Ultima retrospectives, never got into Nostalgia Critic/Chick.
