I'm not sure I agree.

The Wii U overall had a tepid reaction, probably the worst that I've ever seen from something made by Nintendo and I've been around since the Game Boy Color days.  Only the hardcore faithful were hyping it up; everyone else was indifferent at best.  Maybe because the E3 2011 Wii U unveiling was so underwhelming but the hype just was not there.

Most people are excited for PS4/Durango because they hope that these consoles will save the industry.  You see these .gifs because it isn't like there's anything going on with the PS3.  The fanboy fucktard wars are going to be even better than this generation because there is now an air of desperation there.  Can't wait!

360 and Wii games get pirated to a stupid degree here too. A very high percentage of people simply buy consoles on the basis of "cheap/free games". I dont have HW numbers but just about everyone I talk to has an xbox360, and when asked about PS3 the question is "can I pirate?",point is anecdotally it seems 360 ownership is higher here but the software numbers I have seen shows PS3 versions selling 5x more than 360 versions as a norm.
