Yeah, this annoys the shit out of me too. I can't drink, it wasn't my choice, but that's how it's always been. Even people who know I can't still try to pressure me into doing so however. Some people love showing their real age in these threads. I basically take a fucking pill and wallow in misery the whole flight. Some kid crying is the least of my problems. Last flight I was on the pressure wouldn't release from my ears so I felt like shit about 3 hours after landing.

We've done four round-trip flights with Addie in the last year, and she's been great, but we work our butts off as parents to make sure she is calm and not bothering the people around us. Also helps that my wife is a frequent business flyer, so we're always in Economy Comfort or bumped up to First Class. That extra bit of leg room really helps.

With all that said, parents who don't try to calm down their kids or teach the older ones how to behave on planes drive me nuts just as much as anyone else. I started flying at 6 months old and as I got older, my parents taught me how to behave appropriately. I loved going on plane flights.

I just don't get these arguments in thread being anything other than selfish bratty tirades (ironic they're complaining about kids yeah?). Kids can be nuisances on planes. So fucking what. I've done the gamut of all kinds of public transportation. Seen things I don't want to. Heard things I don't want to. Only reason adults act properly on planes is the thread of being marshalled and the high cost keeping the real loons off. But what does someone like nvidiot want parents to do? Not visit family? Not go on vacations? Throw the kid at some other family member while they jet off somewhere? Maybe he should get himself on some private jet if he can't deal with public means of transportation.

ShockingAlberto is one of those people who, if I met in real life, I wouldn't want to hang out with. In real life, I can get people to laugh real easy.
