It's like a futuristic Bohemian Rapsody, probably the signature song for the band, but the band hated it so much, they disbanded over it. The current members of the band never play it in concerts. Just a weird situation.

Toxic tell me more about your music tastes. I know you were a teen in the 80s and 90s. What did you like in early 90s and later?

I was into rap and r&b from 85-92. I was lucky to be within range of the Detroit radio stations, so I was exposed to all the early rap and non-mainstream r&b.  Then alt-rock exploded in 91-92 just as rap/r&b was kind of becoming a parody of itself. Went to many, many concerts from 92-99. Along with the first six Lollapoolozas and both Woodstocks.

Kind of a typical mainstream, gen-x white trash kid really. Except most of them got into rap because of Beastie Boys, whereas I thought they were complete phonies and frauds. It wasn't until Paul's Boutique and a lot of weed when I finally turned around on them.

I would've sucked Billy Corgan's dainty manpiece as a teen, but nowadays I can handle about 3 of their songs before it feels cheesy.  I understand why I liked it as a teen though, he has lots of emo and faux-poetic lyrics, but he and the drummer are some of the best in the business at their instruments.  Back then, this made me like them better than Nirvana and most other alternative bands.  I put Siamese Dream/Mellon Collie up there as the defining albums of my teen years.  They have a lot of raw technical skill, but also creativity.  But nowadays, I'm more into raw stuff like In Utero, which is the only "grunge era" album I'll put on these days.

Its not all that bad. it's just that at times like these, the worst of Gaming side acts like GameFAQs. People will chill out in 2 years when the Wii U is in a cold dead grave, Durango seizes the casual market with some core, and the PS4 seizes the core market with some casual.

GAF is a bunch of fucked up nerds pretending that they're not a bunch of fucked up nerds.  This thread is all about exposing the facade for the bullshit that it is.  Sometimes it is done humorously, sometimes it is done seriously.  Having been around in GAF on various forms since 2000, this is the probably the worst it has been.  That is what you get when you open the doors up to Redditards and /b/tards.  Nobody should be upset or shocked that the collective IQ dropped like a sack of bricks over the course of the past 5-6 years.

fucked up nerds are largely self-immolating. with a little patience, most people on the internet are self-immolating; anyone who saw it as their duty to joylessly shoot neck-bearded fish in a barrel as part of some crusade of exposure into a forum they disdainfully cling to, i would consider truly doused.
