I would've sucked Billy Corgan's dainty manpiece as a teen, but nowadays I can handle about 3 of their songs before it feels cheesy. I understand why I liked it as a teen though, he has lots of emo and faux-poetic lyrics, but he and the drummer are some of the best in the business at their instruments. Back then, this made me like them better than Nirvana and most other alternative bands. I put Siamese Dream/Mellon Collie up there as the defining albums of my teen years. They have a lot of raw technical skill, but also creativity. But nowadays, I'm more into raw stuff like In Utero, which is the only "grunge era" album I'll put on these days.
