"Pouring one out for a homie". That was Laramie and Dragona interpreted the post as racist and permabanned the dude for it at the time. I don't think any good reason was ever given for why exactly she thought it was offensive and it was sort of a running joke for a while. I think Laramie might've been let back in later on. Apparently he got a name change to Umino at some point.

even $40 for a mario platformer makes me cringe a bit. Games like picross should be $10 or less. Apple really undermined the idea that every game X Big Company makes has to be $40 to $50, even if it's short on features and content.

Change for the sake of change is stupid. DKCR and NSMBWii are games of the generation, and a large part of that is due to their glorious lack of superfluous bullshit that plagues the industry. I'm not arguing that they couldn't benefit from -honest- DLC and HD, but the Wii wasn't suited for that. I also thought their innovation was superb, not just because of the imaginative level design. The super guide is an ingenious way to make a game challenging but approachable, and NSMBW multi was surprisingly amusing yet fair in spite of its chaos.
