I just don't like the musical shift from Fame Monster. The title track irks me because it's become a "gay anthem" and I think it's hamfisted. Judas is basically Bad Romance.

I think the only song that's even close to good is You and I.

Born This Way (the song) is a grower. I never grow on the lyrics themselves because they're one-dimensional and stupid. It's the worst song on the album, though.

To put this in perspective, my favorite tracks of Gaga's are Teeth, Bad Romance, and in particular I think her best song is So Happy I Could Die.

I found nothing close to that on Born This Way.

My favorite TFM tracks: Speechless, So Happy I Could Die, Bad Romance, Dance in the Dark. We seem to like the "darker" Gaga. Born This Way was missing that edge that TFM had.

The "edge" to Fame Monster was part of the thematic point, and I think it was the big reason so many liked it and then found themselves disappointed with Born This Way.

I personally want more of the dark pop and less of the straight-to-the-clubs anthems.

TFM felt almost like a concept album, since every song fell within a specific mood or theme. Telephone aside, which just feels out of place. Born This Way is more modern schizophrenic album making.
