I browse the fighting game community threads from time to time.  That particular sub-community is more tolerable than SRK on the whole, and has a number of notable posters within the FGC (like Maximilian, who does The Online Warrior/Assist Me video series, and haunts, who runs iPlayWinner.com), although the noise:substance ratio is still rather high.

The mega-thread trend has ruined its use as a gaming news aggregate.
