My God, this is NeoGAF we're talking about. If you think they are representative of men, you're just... wow. You're wrong. And if you happen to live in an area where men are like Neogaffers, you need to GTFO. A lot of men definitely secretly harbor all kinds of shit against women and treat them fairly only on the outside but, again. NeoGAF.

Poor treatment of women is not why women don't post on GAF. It's something else. I've posted on OA and it used to have a ton of chicks, very active, posted a lot of pictures of themselves also. I don't recall OA treating women with much respect particularly. It has more to do with not being creepy.

I don't think they represent all men, I think they represent a significant proportion of bitter dudes who need to get out more. You might be right though, there is a plain difference between just being an obnoxious asshole and a creepy obnoxious asshole and GAF does attract a lot of the latter but I think it has to do with how big it's become.
