I guess, I never seen Red Dwarf, but the creators hate it when people compare it to Red Dwarf

It's only 6 episodes (until the second series comes out later this year)

Well Red Dwarf is the only other real successful british sci fi show that I can think of, which probably means its the only one most americans can think of period

Red Dwarf was actually really good, I would consider it a compliment.
