I shamefully admit that IGN used to be my source of video game news and reviews back in the 90s. I mainly checked IGN daily for N64, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Gamecube reviews. These days however, I maybe visit IGN once a month or so. If you thought IGN had shitty editors before, look what they have now. Nothing, lol. Atleast Matt Cassamassamania, Fran, harris and Peer used to entertain in some way.

Honestly who cares.

The site is what it is. They provide mainstream coverage for the masses.

There are so many internet blogs and news sites that I feel people no longer need to obsess about whether they like IGN or not.

gamespot was good during the days of Kasavin and Shoemaker. They're total thrash now though.

I read Gamespot during the N64/PSX era, then I started following IGN more when the DC came out. Now I wouldn't piss on either one to put them out if they were on fire. I just watch videos on GameTrailers, and then buy games that look good.

their latest site redesign was/is utter shite, not that their content was great, but I do find myself going there less and less anymore.

IGNDC was the shit. The Dreamcast hardcored me and IGN DC was my most visited site way back when. You guys did a great job of it.

The only thing I used to use IGN for was for my MyIGN where you could sort and organize your game collection. They even FUBAR'ed that. Screw 'em

I've never used IGN, ever. Back when I was younger I used Gamespot for game reviews and now I use GiantBomb.

I only ever get linked to IGN, and when I do all I can think is how fucking awful that layout is.

I think Brandon may be starting up a new site. At least he was talking about it a little while ago and asking me some Wordpress stuff. Dunno what became of it.

Ever since Hilary took over the gaming sites, people have been jumping ship (Matt, Bozon, Craig, etc.).

I haven't in years. I pretty much avoid every site that clogs their site with flash and images. So that means no IGN, Gamespot, or 1UP.

No website should resemble a tricked out MySpace page of yore.

I think he went to whoever made Madden, then went to Visual Concepts, and I remember he worked on a Shrek game so that must have been... 7 studios? The last time I heard from him he was working at Quick Hit.

He's not at Quick Hit anymore. I think DaveZ is still there though.
