It's an action game, it's nothing like the original games. I played JP version a few months ago but I got bored of it because there are only two different enemies for at least the first 3 hours.

Same here.  I'd be willing to try it again though, since time on the Go with a PS3 controller like the developers recommended.

between the fact that aya clothes rips as she takes damage and the fact that she spends most of FMV time being will-weaked,i suspect at least 2 reviews calling this game sexist

not for fear of spoiling the story, but because the truth of the final plot twist is so ridiculous it would sound like a joke.

The combat is similar to that of the first two Parasite Eves

the game is really good when you get the hang of it.  It's not generic at all.  The story is distinguished mentally-challenged, but the core gameplay is a damn good shooter.  Not Vanquish or anything, but still high-quality mechanic shooter.  The upgrade system rocks.

Anyone who likes good Japanese mechanic action games like Shinobi or Vanquish should play through it.  And yeah there are more than two enemy types.  Each stage introduces new enemies after the first chapter or two.  There aren't a lot but it's about learning how to fight each one.  Game is a good challenge, not cheap hard, but fun challenging.  Stage 3's camera in a couple of the big open areas is kind of bad though.

I don't remember the details because the plot was all kind of a nonsense blur but I think it was

you're not playing as Aya, you're actually playing as Aya's sister who is dived into her body meanwhile the real Aya from PE1/2 died because she dove into her sisters body who had to die for some reason I forgot. 

There's also a bunch of time travel loop nonsense.  Because her sister has ESP powers which include time traveling.

I dunno, the plot is nonsense made to piss off long-time PE fans by killing off Aya and telling you you're not even playing as her.  I never played PE1/2 so I didn't care at all.

Still, the atmosphere of the game is top-notch.  It's one of the darkest most disturbing worldviews ever made.
