I've never had it. I bought a can once and a friend and I were going to eat it, until we realized the can had been punctured on the side and there were fuzzies in the hole. Took that as a sort of sign to stay away from it, haha.

What does it taste like?  Can it be eaten directly from the can or is that a recipe for SWEET SWEET DEATH?

It tastes like heaven.

It can be eaten raw, I wouldn't eat it out of a can though. Just smack on the bottom (or jam a knife in the top) and the Spam comes out in a brick. You can eat it raw, but you'll get sick of it unless you cook it or mix it with something.
