Random battles in rpgs are a gigantic portion of the game. Why do you like rpgs if you can't even enjoy the battles?

Seems to me with you, the reason you play rpgs is the story.

i enjoy battle but i enjoy battles that are fast! i don't want to see the camera zooming around the battlefield searching for ninja,i don't want to see the enemies slowly move toward my heroes so that they can hit them,and if a slime does deal me no damage the first time,i'm sure he won't do anything the other 8 times too
and this is the reason why i absolutely refuse to go near any nes rpg

FF13 battles? done in 2 seconds
tales of vesperia? the guys don't even have the time to say their battle quotes
blue dragon? "give me some time,i'm going to hit you,oh and give some time to the 4 guys behind me too!"

there is a reason games like disgaea have a skip animation feature
god bless you! programmer that put a skip animation feature in your game!

just ask around why people tought suikoden 4 was bad!

I actually thought 7-10 sucked. I am in the minority! Glad they are righting the ship. From the outside, it seems like it would be so easy to make a ff people want to play. Still miss castles and crystals tho

6 month from final fantasy the 4 heroes of light but i guess we are going to forget all the lame final fantasy spinoffs that were supposed to be awesome because they had world maps and towns

Either way, according to google No$GBA is still the best emu. Too bad the compatibility is still far from perfect. I guess I'll have to continue being a decent human being for a little longer.

That's a good thing. I have little love for traditional turn based systems these days, unless they're fast, for example Lost Odyssey was mega poop. Haven't played anything with a traditional system for a while that does it well. All about the ATB in my jRPG
