yeah, it's a choice action game that has all the thrills of any other AAA title, you can beat it in around 10 hours and it his kick ass mechanics that ape the best of any 3d Zelda game, with no bullshit. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this game to anyone that has ever enjoyed a 3d videogame. It checks all the right boxes and is pretty finely tuned and paced experience.

It's an easy recommend for anyone who wants god-of-war-lite in combat, and zelda in exploration. People who will dislike this game:

Anyone who hates IMAGE COMICS style of art.

Still early but enjoying it. Definitely has a diablo lite or action rpg feel to it with the loot.

I enjoyed DS1, but the art style has been turned up even MORE in the sequel, and I'm not sure I can deal with it. If I'm going to be embarrassed in front of my fiancée, I'd rather play a weeaboo JRPG than Joe Mad's ANGRY FANTASY DUDES. At least the former I can blame on "Japan, am I right?"

game seems pretty OK so far.

having some trouble with the combat. i keep trying to play it like it's more complicated than it is.

i got stuck on a puzzle for like 10 minutes so that's pretty cool.

I played this for a few hours. I only have a couple problems so far: for starters, I wish there was a sprint button. I think you spend a little too much time running to the next area, so it would be nice to speed that up. Or maybe the maps are just too big. And secondly, I wish they would show your current equipment's stats while you're standing over a new item. Doing that would make it so I never have to go looking through my inventory when equipping new gear. The game's fun though, and it seems to be better than the original in every way.

The pre-order items are really unbalanced too. I don't think I'll be using any of them. Dumb.

I didn't have any stuttering issues over here. V-sync did seem to be broken as i was getting 140+ fps and it was fluctuating so much that it was annoying. so i just used dxtory to limit the fps to 60.

also used the nvidia drivers to force fxaa, vsync, and triple buffering. now it runs perfect.

I'm just really liking this game. The pacing between action and combat feels really good. I never feel like they're overdoing it in either direction.

i'm finding the loot whore aspect to be pretty serviceable for their first real attempt at it. Possessed weapons and feeding weapons to other weapons it a neat idea. Right now I feel like I'm a bit over-powered but thats cool.

I'm about 11 hours in and I think I'm about little over half through so the game is a pretty good length.

Been going through this over the past week. I don't know how much I have left but I've really been enjoying my time, well except the

section  :yuck. I originally thought adding loot to Darksiders was a pretty dumb idea but it worked out pretty well, allowing me to slightly alter my playstyle with different gear stats. I'm kind of disappointed I started on Normal though, because the game is incredibly easy so far (well, the Crucible is more challenging) but I'm still having a blast.

I started on normal, but upped it to hard smartish or whatever it's called.

The field fight with the giant is pretty much where I'm up to, and really loving how good it looks on personal computer. There are screen tears, but it still look so good after playing iOS games 24/7.

The soundtrack is also seriously great, didn't realise Jesper Kyd did the Ass Creed music too.

Finished the game. 85% of the game is excellent. The other 15% is a mix of pretty OK to TERRIBLE.

Specifically:
spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Earth shooter part. Straight up awful in every way. Completely mindless corridor shooting with waves of boring enemies and boring level design. Fire whoever decided to put that in the game.

Everything to do with Last Light and The Ivory Citadel are OK. The puzzles are pretty neat but fighting corrupted angels are a chore and it just feel like it's padding for the sake of it. They reuse a goal from previous in the game where you have to get the water from three sources turned on. Did they think we'd forget about Drenchfort?

Luckily the game manages to end on a pretty high note with two pretty great boss battles.

I have to say that the boss battles in this game were pretty much all really great, actually. I think there was one I didn't like but I can't remember which one. They all were clever and made you do a variety of tasks to defeat them.

The first and second worlds are def the best parts of the game. Going into the last act you feel the pace quicken as the areas you go to are smaller and the tasks are more simple. It's funny tho because that's how most of the dungeons are as well. Usually you have 3 things you need to do and the first two take a while, and the last is pretty quick.

If not for the terrible sections latter in the game this could easily be a shoe-in for GOTY but for not it's just going to be a contender. I'll def go back and do a ng+ if not just so I can take on the crucible and the arbiters soul maze.

There's great parts all throughout the game. Just know that the worst of the game is in the later parts.

This sums up my thoughts on the game pretty perfectly. I missed the big open worlds in the second half of the game, but I still loved the dungeon puzzles as they became more intricate and a little more difficult than the earlier puzzles.

My other big disappointment is the story. I didn't expect a masterpiece or anything, but it's still a sort of interesting world and

I would have liked to see the ending of the first game expanded upon.

Instead we pretty much just got a story filled with MacGuffin after MacGuffin.

Anyway, definite GOTY contender as of right now but with who knows where it'll end up. Hope we get a Darksiders III!

how did this turn out?  worth playing? saw some people call it disappointing compared to the first.  didn't read much past that.

I enjoyed the first game for the Zelda qualities.

I thought it was disappointing compared to the first. The loot didn't really amount to much. The various side quests were lame. The game was filled with obvious padding. The whole story was confusing, especially the ending.

It's up to you if you need to play it, but you won't miss anything if you don't.

I enjoyed the first game for the Zelda qualities.

Second one was more like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time with an overworld than Zelda.
