My only hope for a win this week is resting on a TE from Tampa Bay getting more than 11.5 points in a game against Indy...   :'(

Flacco and especially Sanchez are overrated fer sure, goddam am I tired of "Don't we geeks understand the sport better than the meatheads who actually participate" pieces, especially when they're as sloppy as they are self-congratulatory.

I blame Michael Lewis and Malcolm Gladwell.

He was in, I read the schedule wrong. He's got me 27 points already! :rock

I also picked up Hines Ward to fill in during a bye week, he's doing awesome with 11 points so far.

Gahhhh I wish I picked up Hines Ward.  This is his best game in like two seasons.

More than that, the Steelers are absolutely raping the Titans, arguably one of the best teams in the AFC.  I am relieved; they look as good as when they won the super bowl a few years ago.

Could have picked up Ryan Grant but didn't and this is why I lost. :piss

Just got back from Buffalo Wild Wings. 5-0 baby. Stafford started out shaky, as did the defense, but both rebounded nicely. The defense was especially impressive though. Not long ago a lot of those plays were missed tackles and stupid penalties. That beefed up LB core has completely changed the look of the defense.

Good to see Fairley get some playing time. He'll be scary once he gets some more experience, and gets healthier.

I don't know what to think about next week. On one hand, I'm not particularly worried about Alex Smith. On the other hand Gore is a beast, and the 49ers have an impressive rush defense and a great coach (I still wish he had gone to Michigan instead). The 49ers keep finding ways to win games, and they're tough.

I think the Lions will win considering it's a home game, but I'm not nearly as confident about this game as I was just a few weeks ago.

I kind of see it as a close game with the Lions pulling away at the end. The Niners look better each week, but they have succeeded based on defense and a +10 turnover advantage. Detroit isn't as mistake prone as some of the teams the Niners have faced. I think Josh Morgan being out is going to hurt them more than people think. Crabtree and Kyle Williams are both not in sync with the offense yet which means that they'll probably throw at Ginn Jr a lot if the tight ends are covered.

The Lions biggest advantage is that the Niners secondary is their weakest link in the D and I'm not sure they have someone to cover Megatron or Pettigrew.

I agree with this. The only thing I have to add is that the Lions D line is probably the best in the league and the niner's O line has been shaky. I'm gonna say it will be the 49ers O line that wins or loses this game.

The Niners pass rush was getting there just before the deep throws could develop. Stafford was still off. It looked like he was waiting for something and then tossing some bailout throws. Aldon Smith had his second two sack game in a row.

Alex Smith was having a shit second half and then throws a dart for the TD on 4th and goal.

I can't wait to see what new and interesting way Tony Romo blows this game, seeing as how it's close at halftime and all.

Just kidding, he's run out of NEW ways to blow games; there's only so many ways you can turn the ball over late in the 4th quarter after all

Stafford looked scared of taking hits. He's seemed that way all season but got away with it for the most part, as the o-line held up in most of our games outside of the Vikings one. Not an encouraging sign.

They won't do shit until Romo goes. The Cowboys defense is good, they've got offensive weapons...they just don't have a solid QB. If they were playing in a weaker division it wouldn't be as much of a problem, but you can't consistently beat the Giants and Philly with a mistake prone choker
