legit thought this would be an ironic thread about the Real Money use. I know I'm certainly less interested because of it

edit: nevermind, worked out it was just for player to player transactions, not like an item shop. Hype restored.

As far as I understand it: the economy is player driven, but Blizzard facilitates a safe trading environment and takes a service charge per transaction.

I want in this beta

the online drm isn't so bad here since Diablo is kinda sorta an online game. Ubisoft adding it to single player heavy games was more the problem. Still lame since my isp is shaky and if I need a quick loot fix, I have to play Torchlight, Torchlight 2, Diablo 1, Diablo 2, Titan Quest, etc instead :'(

have specs come out yet? Wondering if I can run it on an 08 macbook aluminum (9400m, 2.0ghz c2d, 4gb DDR3.) If the beta also includes the mac version, that is.

It might 'run'. But not really in any setting that could give you joy. New 13" macs would be even worse since they no longer have any dedicated gfx.

There is no way there will be a crack that will allow you to play offline AND on B-Net where there is trading in money. If there is, expect lots of bannings.

So looting is instanced, everything drops on the ground like D2 except only you see it, everyone has their own loot table in a game. I think I like this, if I was a big loot ninja in D2 I would be mad, but here in NZ competing with shitty lag for loot in D2 was a crap experience, I wasn't able to get much good stuff till I could do solo runs so I welcome this move.

I got into the SC2 beta and the only thing I had on my account was a WoW trial. However, they did say D3's beta was going to be small and wasn't going to last very long so..

I spent like three days without internet last week and that shit happens all the time over here not to mention power outages so I'm not a supporter of this always online crap, not like I buy pc games anyway but just saying.
