Wrath2X, you said it didn't affect the rest of the world, or wasn't really a changing point for the rest of the world. I'd argue that the viewpoint is very short-sighted. With 9/11, a host of personal freedoms were curtailed in the USA and a vast amount of
additional resources were dumped into the military-industrial complex. The decade of military adventuring which has ensued has had a direct affect on many places in the world, and I'm certain that this change in policy for the country with the world's largest military budget has had an indirect affect on the entire world.
