They are super supportive and helpful, too. Their Facebook page is a great resource, and the thread on CAG.

My example:

I bought LA Noire, where they had a deal where you bought it, and you got any $20 game for free. For some reason, one of my games wouldn't work, even though it was $20.

I emailed the guy, who had me scan/photograph my receipt and email it. He replied that he would send me a gift card for $30, just like that.

If you have the option to go to a KMart, it is in your best interest to subscribe to them. The only drawbacks are [no pre-ordering] and [no CEs most of the time], and sometimes [low inventory]. I've had no issues, except I didn't get Dead Island due to lack of inventory. But they are strongly working on it, etc.

If you are a stingy cheapo, you can easily hop on their "coupon train" and save up to $20 per game if you pick your route.

Here's my current setup:

Gears 3 ($60) (technically $30 because I had that LA Noire card from the story) -> $20 coupon

Dead Rising ($20) -> $15 coupon

Batman ($45) -> $30 coupon

Saints 3 (or any other November game) -> possibility of $20 coupon

On and on

I guess the major thing is that, normally you would have to argue with a Manager about these deals. If anyone at the store is giving you lip, you can take solace in the fact that the actual higher-ups will listen. They will literally send that store an email or something and say "you guys are shit, fix this" - he posts on CAG and gets pretty pissed at all the bad stories.

I told the guy about my store, and how they kept everything behind the glass, mostly Clearance games.

I later went there and suddenly the shelf next to the glass was -filled- with all these clearance games.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-10-13-batman-online-pass-unlocks-catwoman

Quote
The Batman: Arkham City online pass unlocks Catwoman as a playable character, it has been revealed.

Streams of the game being played reveal that Catwoman is only playable for those who have bought a new copy of the game or buy a code.

"Catwoman is a unique character with her own story, moves, and weapons. Unlock Catwoman by redeeming the 1st purchaser included in the game case or by visiting Xbox Live Marketplace," says the game's title screen.

Eurogamer has had this verified with a source.

Batman: Arkham City's VIP pass unlocks four story scenes that feature Catwoman as a playable character.

It also unlocks Catwoman as a playable character in challenge mode (called Riddler's Revenge).

Without the VIP pass code, Catwoman still appears in the game as part of the story, but her playable missions remain locked.

i'm not one of those high-horse types who refuses to buy games that have content locked with online passes, but i don't like supporting it, so i have sort of established a personal rule of waiting until these kinds of games at least drop to half price

i know that isn't gonna mean shit as far as having an effect on the sales of these games, i just think it's a shitty practice and it makes me lose all desire to pay full price

Yup.  It's only an issue if you buy used.  This game will drop in price to prices matching or lower than the shitty used price that Gamestop will sell it for anyway.

I can understand the complaints, but what I don't understand are the complaints coming from people are buying the game at launch or the people who are now saying they will not buy the game because of this.  Uh...redeem the code and play.  What's the problem here?

The problem is the buck isn't getting passed to Gamestop.  It's not like they're altering the price of their used games because of online passes; they're not even obligated to inform you you'll be buying a gimped product.  This is an FU to the people who shop at Gamestop.
