Single girls are annoying on Valentine's Day. Soft boys too. The rest of us ignore it pretty well, I'd say. My annoying contribution for the holiday is my displeasure with DotA 2 servers being down for the day.

Dying grandparents on a holiday; I know that feel bro :'(

Sorry to hear that. It's definitely a blessing to have grandparents well into adulthood. I have one left, my grandma, and she's sick as well; I don't think she'll make it through the year

I came into this world with both my grandfathers deceased. That's why I was really attached to my grandmothers.

My grandmother from my mother's side got really sick while she was visiting on the holiday season, she was even admitted into our local hospital. Two months later, she passed away. That was in 1996.
Now my grandma from my father's side died on the second day of Ramadan's Eid in 2004, she was sick for the majority of that year though, so it was expected.

God rest their souls.

I've got all four of my grandparents still. I even knew five of my eight great grandparents while I was in elementary school. Last one passed away when I was in 5th grade.

I got news in the morning that my grandmother is dying, so I had a sad Valentines day :'(

I know how the death if a grandparent can make the day go sour, especially of it's a holiday. Can you visit her?
