I'm concerned about the 7th Generation Corvette and how it's going to end up. From the spy shots and mockups from people who have seen it, it looks like they're trying to create a wannabe Ferrari or something. I wanted to order a C7 Corvette when they made it and watch it come out of the factory at Bowling Green but I'll have to wait and see how it's going to look. Such a shame considering the C6 is so fucking gorgeous.

These are a lot better than the previous ones that came out but I'm not too hot on it. Maybe I'll warm up when we get some details on the specs.

I meant mostly by enthusiasts, but yeah thats pretty much what stops people on this side from ordering certain euro sports cars. Most of the roads in europe are all twisty n shit. Muscle cars are made for the sprawl of North America

I just get irritated that american cars cant just be american cars. Focus sells fine over there- let it be. Mustang sales have slowed and yeah 10 years is a good run for a style, but compete with muscle cars here, not there :*(

I know people say the challenger's are built cheap, but goddamn I love that retro look. Cameros are ugly imo.

I agree completely MAF. If I wanted a Euro car, I'd buy a Euro car. I loved the C6 because it was an elegant upgrade of the classic Corvette style and a helluva performer. GM is going to try to appeal to a base that doesn't exist.

I love that old Mustang concept too. I would have preferred it coming out looking closer to that. When it was first revealed I nearly wet my pants. The current gen is still gorgeous though so oh well.

I'm all for evolving styles but I don't want everything thrown out the window so I can feel like I'm oh so sophisticated driving a European style car. IDGAF. That's why I loved the Stingray concept that was in Transformers 2 and 3. Unique and still carried over a lot of the Corvette styling.

Stopped by the car dealer at lunch and I'm approved for whatever 2011 Jetta I want and they are both 5 speeds!

But they are both white. $:-\$

There is a beautiful blue one with a moon roof and NAV but it's $7k more. If I was going to spend $21K on a car, it wouldn't be a Jetta.

I spent all day Saturday trying to rethread the Mini Cooper after a spark plug blew out of the head while my wife was driving it.

BMW/Mini wanted 3200 to replace the whole head

A local machine shop wanted about the same so they could rethread it.

No local shops would touch it because conventional tools won't fit to add a helicoil or to rethread it. So I welded the tool onto a 3/8" drive extension and got it to fit in there. It's still not perfect. The spark plug sits about 1/2 an inch higher than it should but she holds, compression checks out and she sparks like she should.

What a POS car.

Sorry to hear that, Biz. How bad is it?

My Alero is pissing me off. I've got a short somewhere. And although I'm pretty good on the mechanical side, I am totally lost when it comes to electrical wiring in cars. When I hit a bump or something in my car all the idiot lights in the car will turn on. And if it stays like this it also doesn't charge the battery. Common sense told me it was the alternator. Well that didn't work. Neither did a new battery. The ground looks okay. But I'm going to move it/replace it this weekend and pray to god that fixes it. If not, I get to pay someone to hunt down the issue.

It's funny because there are actually quite a few Gen coupes in my area.

Of course, probably most of them have the custom Gen coupe badge instead of the Hyundai badge, so it's a bit understandable if a non-car person has trouble figuring out what it is.
