I accidentally bought this, is the Monk the best character to start with if you've never played a Diablo before? I'm tempted by the Wizard, but she might be quite tricky.

Barbarian and Demon Hunter are probably the most straightforward. Witch Doctor is the trickiest. Monk and Wizard mix it up a bit, but nothing too dangerous.

I can't decide between Witch Doctor or Barbarian now. I got the Barb to 5 and I really loved the visceral physics in the beta with him and he's just as fun in the retail version. DECISIONS, DECISIONS! Unfortunately most of my friends haven't started playing yet so I can't really go in with the 11 WD and just blast everything away because they won't get much XP. Blarg.

Reports indicate the problem may be specific to the Demon Hunter class. Users on Battle.net are also reporting the issue.

Blizzard is investigating. As a temporary workaround it suggested players not give the Templar any gear until after they have accepted him as their follower through the user interface pop-up.

It runs slightly better than the beta for me but it still baffles me how I can run Crysis 2 without effort but this game occasionally hitches for me. It just does not seem to like Ati cards.

thats what im using also ATI. i get hitches all the time and it doesn't seem to run at 60 FPS but like 40. frustrating.

Anyone with performance issues should be SURE to update their video drivers. Older ATI cards can have odd performance spikes without the newest drivers.

Quick question also. I'm playing a witch doctor just because I think he looks and sounds cool. I'm still crazy early but I'm not really understanding how I'm supposed to be using weapons with this class. Like I can equip them but by default my left and right mouse button attacks are sort of skill attacks instead of using the weapon. Like the blowdart or throwing the bottle of spiders. So am I supposed to never use my weapon? Or should I re-assign the buttons so I can use it or what? And what kind of weapons should I be equipping either way with the Witch Doctor?

The damage of your skills is derived from the DPS of your main weapon. A better weapon will mean better spiders and blowdarts, even if you never land a melee strike. Don't worry about it - your zombie dogs should have ya covered.

Oh okay. So the weapon only matters in the sense that the more powerful the weapon the more powerful it makes my blowdarts or spiders. Hmmm... That's kind of weird. Do the passive abilities of the weapon transfer over to the blowdarts or spiders? Like freezing or something.

went to go redeem it.

cant login to battlenet

did the forgot password thing, says my email isnt correct

did my email recovery thing, says it can't find my info.

checked my email for battlenet and i found an email saying that the email on record was changed awhile ago.

i never did this.

think my battlenet account was hacked lol

gonna have to call blizzard today.

So, played it for about 20 minutes this morning before going into work. Obviously, I don't have anything interesting to report. However, I can assure you that my wizard JohnnyMage is primed and ready to battle Diablo's Minions. I'm am already a level 3 wizard. Pretty bad ass, I know.

Cone someone explain two handed weapons and dual wielding to me. All the large two handed weapons dont have enough DPS to make up for losing one weapon. For example I might have two small weapons that both do 10 DPS but then a two handed weapon that does 15dps. Why do with a two handed weapon?

I was having an issue with my character saving but not my world. I kept loading up the cathedral level but the map still had the FoW like I had not explored it yet.
