Did anyone else think this opening was pretty bad? The animation was nothing great and the editing job was meh. Didn't even attempt to really go with the music.

I just hope the intros to ZoE2 and ZoE1 are actually handled well, because in the MGS HD collection 2 and 3's intros didn't even look like they were up- scaled.

I was also unimpressed.  Also bad cg robots with artificially low framerate never works.

People are saying the HD Collection is subpar on 360 and subparerer on the PS3.  I expected better from Konami and High Voltage Software.

Did the PS2 version of have framerate problems (I never played either one)? I wish it was 60, but whatever I'm still buying it.

Shame about the PS3 version, but oh well. It's not MGS so I guess you shouldn't expect anything from Konami.

Achievements dont look that bad compared to MGS or Silent Hill collections.

Really unfortunate since ZoE2 is one of my favorites.  Gonna pass on this remaster and stick to playing the PS2 version every few years.

How is the frame rate compared to the ps2 versions?  The last level of 2 was like a slide show.

My eyes are broken, because I am not filled with frame counting rage after watching vids of the PS3 version.

This really isn't an elitist thing.  There are expectations for these HD collections and this falls short of it.  If you're going to spend $40 on games you already own, might as well hope they're the definitive versions.  Although, that applies to people looking for an upgrade.

To be fair, ZoE1 is supposed to be fine.  And it comes with a Metal Gear Rising demo!

I cancelled my PS3 preorder yesterday.  I still have my PS2 copies of both.  I'll wait for more definitive reviews and comparisons.  I love these games and really want to see a third console installment.  I usually don't nitpick about frames per second.  If there ever was a game I wanted to see run blazingly fast though, it's ZOE2.

Youtube caps at 30 FPS, so no your eyes are not broken. The numbers are what matter.

Just picked it up. The CE is just like the Tekken Hybrid LE.

This remix of Beyond the Bounds is kind of meh.

Holy shit. The new Sunrise animation OP is awesome. Rivals the Suikoden III anime opening for my favorite of all time.

Really?

The animation looks so cheap and bad. It's not even put together that well. ZoE's own intro is far better.

In general the port is just kind of bad. A real disappointment.

I think it was just the hype of HD mecha action, cause I watched it again and wasn't as excited.

As for the game, it feels slower, but not enough to piss me off or make want to boycott it.

Yeah, the thing is very playable. but I'm still disappointed. In the precedent set by the MGS HD collection, I just would have expected 60FPS. Which would of course be awesome for these games.
