So it seems that Suda 51 had very little to do with this game, according to GAF.

you sure? i'm pretty sure any kill give you star power

Yeah, I'm sure...I take it you haven't killed three or more zombies at the same time yet?  You'd know exactly what  I was talking about.   :P  The game refers to it as "sparkle hunting."

yeah i have done that but don't you just get extra medals and score for your effort? i'm still 100% sure that when you kill any zombie they still drop normal stars that give you star power

to clarify i'm refering to star power as those stars that let you go into super mode after a while

I'm referring to sparkle hunting.  And you get medals and more coins for doing it.

Quote
nah,i'm playing on normal, the problem is even if i wanted to mix it up how am i supposed to do so? everything in the shop is so friggin expensive

LOL, what?  I guess you just don't get enough coins from not doing combos...you should be able to buy at least 1-2 new moves per stage playthrough.

Quote
besides i tought scoring was pretty much dictated by how much sparkle hunting you can triggers? seems pretty pointless to me to go for scoring until you have gotten some of the more powerfull/wide ranged move's

Right...you need to play through the story mode once and start getting leveled up.  You're missing something if you're not getting the cash to buy new abilities.

are you buying health upgrade's lyte? i have already like 5 health upgrade's

Quote

yeah we are talking about two different things :lol,i was referring about the super mode you trigger by pressing LT,that mode triggers everytime you fill a bar and that bar fills with killing any enemies in any way
when you trigger it every zombie dies in 1 hit so it's really easy to trigger sparkle hunting right after you activate super mode :P

i have bought some of the cheapest 100 medal moves (like the stab) but there is like one that is 700 medals, the rest are all in the 300 range,i usualy end a stage with around 150 medals so and when i gather enough medals there is always some health/strenght power up sucks up all my medals that i feel is more important to buy than a move i know nothing about

oh by the way

Just got two I think- you shouldn't be focusing on health and strength the first go-round and should be getting combos and new attacks instead.

You're not doing it right if you have to wait to use that meter for it!   ;)

Not right on the money-- that's from the laughable IGN review that is on par with Godhand and Samurai Warriors 3 for "most IGNorant review ever written."

The game is total grindhouse-satire/parody.  Dude even says that in his review, then flip-flops on it.   :lol  The NPCs you rescue say all kinds of weird, fucked-up shit.  The review also reads like the guy didn't even upgrade Juliette's moves and just used the default move set- just like Magus!

This is just another fun little Grasshopper game that's not gonna sell.

finished this, got the bad ending (did it on purpouse for the achievement :P) and uh... i don't really have much to add than what i said previously, stage 5 is like all the other stage and the last stage is just the final boss, the last 2 bosses are

spoiler (click to show/hide)
a zombie rockstar that attacks on you a motorbike, after a while the motorbike breaks and it transforms into a robo mech elephant inspired because elephant rocks...? is there really a music genre called elephant rocks? cause this is the only thing i can find about elephant rocking

the final boss is sort of hilarious,it's a giant fat zombie elvis presley :lol,in it's profile pages inspiration include genocide, rape, torture, michael buble (:lol),roadkills, satan and m.night shamylan (:rofl),the whole scene is kinda reminiscing of the ending of ghostbusters
[close]

after you finish the game you unlock very hard difficulty,a bunch of costumes (some inspired by other zombie media's like there is a highschool of the dead costume) and a special move that cost 999 coins to unlock, wonder if that helps with scoring :P

the jokes are funny but the actual game is a somewhat dullish,1 vs mindless horde affair which makes for an okay game...

Seems like a waste of time. But I'm sure her videos will enlighten my viewpoint in that videogames with women in them will in fact be videogames.

Beat the game and got the bad ending too...assuming the good ending is obtained by rescuing every NPC?

The 999 coin move is unlocked before you beat the game.  I replayed the prologue and parts of the arcade level and got 1000+ coins pretty quickly.  Have most of the moves purchased now and the game feels SOOO much smoother.

I equipped one of the bikinis and the game called me a pervert on the loading screen.   :lol

If there's one thing that this game is not, it's dull.  Don't agree with you there.

I'm gonna keep fucking around in story mode until everything is bought, then check out ranked.

Lyte, he extrapolated that entire statement from the experience of a gamestop employee selling 2 copies to women, 0 to men on the launch day.

i'll prolly stick around for chievo's even tough i can't 1000/1000 it,cause one of them require you to be online :maf

one of the achievements require you to look up on her skirt but everytime i tried she covers her butt,so i have no idea what's the trick... HARDEST ACHIEVEMENT EVER

yeah i think so too,i missed 1 in stage 1 and 2 in stage 5 since they are all close to exploding barrels
the good ending is sort of pointless anyway

Suda apparently didn't have that much involvement with the game.  That probably explains why it plays better than everything else they've put out!

the 999 combo is super broken, huge range and damage, you end up getting sparkle hunting you weren't even going for,i even got a perfect rank on the final boss stage just by spamming the shit out of it :rofl

uh anyway i rescued everyone and got the good ending,i guess either i'm going for some of the misc achievements next (like that stupid gondola minigame one) or i'm playing on hard (very hard?) for those collection achievements

The controls still have the same feel of No More Heroes. More intuitive, but still a bit clunky. It's pretty awesome, though!

It feels smoother once you get more abilities.  :)  Very much like Dynasty Warriors in that respect.

It's a Suda game and it would make me feel uncomfortable buying it and uncomfortable playing it.  That's three strikes against this game.  Pass.

Although seeing Patel flap his hands on the first page was a nice bonus.  I'm glad I visited this thread!

the achievements in this game are sort of grindy and annoying,it took me 2 runs just to buy and therefore get all the shop related achievements but there is one achievements that ask you to kill 3000 zombies and it still hasn't popped out, what's with zombie games and achievements that requires you to kill impossible numbers of enemies?

a lot of the achievements are related to do stuff in boss fight but the thing you need to do are always stuff you wouldn't normaly do like "counter this boss 10 times" when the fight is so short, that's never going to happen naturaly so if you miss them you have to replay the whole stage, but since the stage are so long it feels like it takes forever

another achievements ask you to use 100 special attacks, but each special attack cost 30 medals,so that's another 3000 medals down the drain for another achievement on top of all the money you have to spend for all the power ups and skills (oh by the way it come almost close to 10.000) and then each special attack takes like a good half minute to execute so you have to wait patentiely for it to be done so you can use another one and go on and on and on....

I love those jav porns damnit, I hate when they are censored though... Time to get the roleplaying on at home, I might have to have my head attached to the missus' ass tonight.

I didn't know that this game was just finally coming out over there, I wonder if they japified it.
