old apple keyboards used alps switches (and sometimes alps clones). edgar matias of matias tactile pro fame is carrying on the apple mechanical tradition:

in fact, he has a new very cool product coming out soon: quiet alps switches based on an older orange simplified alps design that i'm not very familiar with. if you loved your old AEK, AEKII, or M0116, matias is the company to watch, and the tactile pros are the keyboards to heavily consider.

I am also a fan of keyboards. Several people at work have outdone me though: they have literal collections of mechanical keyboards, and have lovely auld skuul adapters for their beauties to connect with standard USB now.

been considering getting one with the cherry mx silent red keys for a while. my old mac full size usb is starting to feel a bit shit. gimme a rec! kinda open to a non-full size kb and getting a separate numpad. particularly interested in wireless, but not a dealbreaker (are there any good wireless mechs?).

Anne Pro 2. I have the Kailh box white (clicky tactile), but I only paid $90ish last year. The price jumped to $100 for Gaterons, to $130-$150 depending on the type of switches for Kailh or Cherry MX you want. It's a fantastic keyboard and works great for blue tooth (at least in my experience, and I haven't seen any bad reviews for its bluetooth capabilities.)
