The real deal-breaker for non-US folks is that even though I buy a ton of books and shit from amazon.com, all the movies and tv and book lending goodness is locked out unless I have a US credit card. I'd happily pay for Prime in the US to get all that stuff, and it would likely be enough to get me to start over buying stuff in the Android realm even after years of investing in iOS apps and content. But no point bitching - these things are loss-leaders designed to get you buying other stuff. If you can't buy the other stuff, they don't want you buying the h/w
