Winning Eleven has fallen off really hard in the last few years.  From what I'm told, deservedly so.

Its really bad, the menu stuff is prob the same they used last gen.

The localisation is just such a mess you wont believe it, a normal game has separate strings for everything but Konami somehow thinks its a good idea to have variables everywhere. I guess their idea was to ensure naming is consistent or to save money on translation but this doesnt work at all.

Ofcourse this might work in Japanese but in every other language this is an utter grammatical disaster. Sometimes to hilarious results where some word could be used in two instances, but it doesnt mean anything in mine. Some strings where just made of variables like 4 in a row, oh the horrible things i have seen.

Prob the most messed up stuff ive seen.

Dark Souls 2 announcement, and some distinguished mentally-challenged Kojima/MGS troll.

look at it this way: nearly everything from Sony and Microsoft is in the first half of the year, except maybe Beyond.  nearly every third party release excludes Wii U, most likely because they've been in development for some time.  everyone is wrapping up.

If MGS stops selling, Konami'll probably throw in the towel on gaming altogether and officially become what they already are unofficially: a sports gym company.

They still got their arcade division!  At least the Bemani branch seems strong considering how they keep releasing yearly updates and new games.

I like the Kojima is trying to pull a MGS2-esque bait and switch again but it's just nearly impossible in this day.

Konami's baseball games still do decent as well, but yeah, they don't have much anymore outside a few key IPs.

i thought i heard Ken Levine is kind of a douche around the time Bioshock 1 came out.

i never played System Shock, but I would've liked to see that instead of Bioshock sequels.

It was just jarring and made the game look weak.  They cut from an early (intentionally awkward) cutscene to a boring battle from later in the game.  The enemies are heavies (why they soak up damage) who don't engage the player since they're focused on fighting another faction.  The previous footage all looked dynamic and awesome.  Here, you have a guy parked on a rail shooting rockets at people.

System Shock 2 is god-tier. Tough, hardcore, scary. No hand-holding, no friendly NPCs to break the tension, no cutscenes, and a raving AI that insults you every step of the way. I recommend digging it up and giving it a go.

It is possible, yes, although it might take some tweaking/mods.

I've played Deus Ex on 64-bit Win 7 although I think I had to do something special to run it in high resolution.

If you guys are talking about running System Shock 2, just recently there was a breakthrough on running it on modern machines.  http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140085

For Deus Ex you just need to get an updated renderer: http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/
There's also a mod that came out recently called New Vision that's supposed to update the graphics in places: http://www.moddb.com/mods/new-vision
