Isn't long nails more of a hardcore druggie thing than a gay thing?
For me it carries over from my sax and guitar playing days. Plus I like long nails they are useful and if maintained are pretty.

I used to be in band. I was originally on trombone but I thought trombone sucked and always wanted to play sax. So in the summer of 7th grade I traded my bone for a sax at the music store and took lessons. I mastered the same music book the teacher had us use in 6th grade band with sax in just two months, and I played every day that summer. When I got back to school, the teacher said I'd have to take his course again but for sax and being a 12 year old hanging with friends in class > playing the instrument you like so I got another bone. I ended up being forced to trade in my sax a few years later when I needed another new trombone.
As for guitar I got an acoustic for Christmas in 05 and took lessons for one year. I have a knack for learning instruments fast but guitar didn't click for me.
I honestly want to go back to sax. Greatest instrument there ever was. I bet I could get to advance level with that thing if I had it for one more year. Woodwind for life. I have experience with four instruments: trombone, sax, acoustic, and tuba. Sax is best, tuba is the worst. Fuck tuba and fuck marching with tuba.
