STREAK EXTENDS TO 14.

MALKIN RETURNS AND GETS A GOAL.

SID GETS TWO ASSISTS.

AND THIS ALL BEFORE IGGY JOINS THE TEAM.  :bow2

The Pens are so fucking stacked that even MAF's shakiness in net shouldn't stop them.

I don't even know how much you can legitimately call MAF "shaky" right now.  I think the Pens as a whole have only let in 13 goals over the past 11 games.  MAF's save percentage is a respectable .918, higher than  Brodeur, Miller, Price, Reimer, Luongo.  GAA of 2.24, which is currently 12th in the league.

You can't call him elite, but I think he's been pretty solid.

There were nearly 100 total shots in the Bruins Senators game. Seguin alone had a dozen shots.

Looks like the Pens winning streak is over.

This is what happens when your franchise player is brittle. For him, the Leafs offer Kessel and fifth round pick. Kessel has never played fewer than 70 games in a season. This durability is no accident: Kessel has a thick layer of protective fatty tissue on his face to prevent broken jaws. He makes sure to avoid physical contact and the front of the net where flying pucks are to be found.

Montreal since clinching a playoff spot:

lost  5-1 to the Leafs
lost 7-3 to Philly
losing 4-0 halfway through the second to the Pens.

I sense a first-round exit for the Habs....

Elliotte Friedman ‏@FriedgeHNIC 40s
Quick healer MT @allenpanzeri2 Karlsson's 100 percent, says Bryan Murray. Just needs to get into game shape and he's back.

WHAT?

He was supposed to be out for nine or twelve months. It's been like two--tops.

He needs to call Kobe.

Allrighty, so far:

AWESOM-O's Kings not doing so hot.
Penguins doing okay, that 4-3 loss was embarrassing though.  Still, Crosby back and beasting with 2 goals and three assists in two games.
Leafs not getting swept.
Vancouver's meltdown providing the lols.

Islanders easily could have won game 3. They looked like the better team. I don't know enough to comment on the officiating that many people were complaining about.

Anyway, they are fucked. They needed that game to have any chance to somehow win the series.
