I'm pretty sure I'm at the last main story mission in Hearts of Stone. This was a really good expansion. CDPR didn't fuck around.

Still haven't dinged 39 so I can't use my new Viper armor yet. Hopefully the last mission pushes me over the top.l

I remember having to look for wildlife to kill to push me to the right level. I eventually found a group of boars that were high level enough to give me decent XP. Hope you remember those spots, because I don't... Alternatively, diving into Blood and Wine should give you enough XP pretty much immediately.

Well, I think I'm more than halfway to 39, so I'm hoping the last mission dumps me like 1000xp like completing the game did. I think I have one more side quest to do, but they only seem to give like 78xp per stage of the quest.

Yeah, the fall-off is really bad. That's the one enduring issue I have with this game. Level scaling and item scaling. It's all over the place. That and the heaps of shit gear you're never going to wear if you've completed so much as a single Witcher set. :doge

Jumped back in to Blood and Wine after not having played it for a while. What an amazing game, I'd almost forgotten just how incredibly good it really is. Of course, this comes right after playing through bog-standard Euro-Jank RPG The Technomancer, so it presents a pretty stark comparison. Nobody does this kind of game like CD Projekt, not even close.

It sounds like hyperbole, but it really isn't.

Oh, and there's supposed to be the GOTY edition coming out soon on PS4 and Xbone, so you might want to wait for that.

Witcher Brehs, should I finish the main story before I start the DLC or it doesn't matter? I'm on my 4th play through but this is the first time with both expansions available.

You can do the DLC whenever, they don't really have any connection with the main story.

Just picked up level 31 and i'm gonna do all DLC before the end game. Still way different than the other 3 times I've played through. There is no formula or method to take this game on. This game is top 3 lifetime in my world. Will play many more times. This game shits on any game released in the past 10 years.  :bow

It is impressive how CD Projekt RED took the time to even make all this work.  It would have been so much easier to make a more linear game and avoid the headaches.  This little scene still blows my mind, given most players will have gone past the point in the main story to trigger it in Hearts of Stone.

[Slight Hearts of Stone spoilers]

A very small percentage of players will ever see that scene in game.  For them to even include snippets like that it shows how much the cared about their creation.

I ended up not getting involved and let O'Dimm take Everec. And then didn't take a reward because I thought there would be a catch, but there wasn't.  :duh

I defied him and saved Everec. He gives you his sword and a suit of armour, I believe. His sword has a unique charge mechanic, buit I never used it for very long.

I finally finished the Blood and Wine expansion.

 :( no more Witcher  :( :(

The boss fight with Detlaff was pretty challenging. Good use of mechanics and pattern based design. Using Aard to blow Detlaff out of the sky when he charges you is such a cool thing because it makes it believable that Geralt would be able to take out something so powerful with clever use of his powers.

Unfortunately I got the bad ending because I wasn't nice enough with Syanna throughout and couldn't trigger the right events. Oh well!

I've recently found out that you can do a new game in the expansions with a pre leveled character. You just have to assign the 40 points into your signs before you start. :hyper

So I'm about 7 hours into Blood and Wine it's reminding me just how great this game is. Toussant :lawd The monsters :lawd The story :lawd

I mean, AFAIK Sapkowitz hasn't ever drew Geralt, so... does it matter they went with the western-main-stream variant of him?

Not sure the pose is the best but always like such crossover stylings. Curious how the paint job will turn out (hopefully better than some of those CEs :doge).
