I think he said fairly positive things about Heyman on a recent podcast. I’d imagine they probably can’t get along because they seem to have at least some similar traits. Some of my life’s mortal enemies are those that I share certain traits with.
Yeah I think that's most of the issue they've had with each other over the years. They are very, very similar and see what they hate in themselves in each other but in reality they're basically just the Northern and Southern version of the same person.
Both broke into the business as teenagers doing photography, both became brash loud mouth managers with a gimmick weapon, both became owner/bookers for their own attempted territory after the age of territories, both took money from Vince to stay in business longer and when they couldn't go on went to work for Vince outright, both booked for developmental, both booked for WWE, Cornette went on to book for TNA/ROH while Paul E. did 3rd brand ECW revival.
Probably a big part of the conflict between the two (and it mostly seems to be Cornette, especially since ECW folded) was that they were always competing in the same spots pretty much their whole careers. Now that they aren't in the same sphere and competing with each other, it would also make sense that some or most of the animosity has diminished.
I would also argue that Cornette/Russo share a lot of similarities as well and that makes Cornette more

than Russo's bookings or ideas on wrestling. And also that most of Cornette's bullshit is a work to get people to pay attention to him.
