I imagine it'll be Jinder vs Roman for a spot. Dunno how many people are in total but I imagine it'll be three from each side. So Finn, probably Roman, and one more from Raw.

Smackdown is doing The Miz vs. Jeff Hardy, Rusev vs. Daniel Bryan, and Charlotte vs. Peyton Royce for spots tonight.

Looking at those matches up there, it's probably gonna be a MITB of all former champs for the men. $:-\$

Also I dunno if anyone here listens to Something to Wrestle but it's a pretty good wrassle podcast about older WWE storylines/angles/PPVs (and just got a show on the Network). There's also a new WCW version with Bischoff that just started called 83 Weeks and it's pretty good so far. I'm curious how it'll be when they start getting into 2000/2001 shit.

One thing I learned that is probably out there everywhere anyway, after Goldberg lost the belt the original plan was to make Nitro an NWO focused show with Hogan/Nash and Thunder to be a WCW focused show based around Flair.

Conrad definitely leans too hard into being a smark type of dude but I like that he'll call out bullshit and won't let Bruce or Bischoff slide on telling half truths/blatant bullshit on some of the episodes.

The pods also lean heavily on some of their homegrown memes too but that's kinda the way these things go. STW does some shows that are cool little "watchalongs" with PPVs and I like those the best. They should start doing stuff like that for the Network episodes.

Yeah I only listen to STW and now 83 Weeks and sometimes I'll listen to the new version of LAW, but that's pretty sporatic for me. I enjoy Pollock and Wai but I don't usually need to hear them recap a show I just watched the day before.

I just got TWO YEARS of a free trial on the Network

I was on the Rumble-WM trial, they offered another free month to stay on, that was coming up so I cancelled and they offered another free month...but it was actually 3. And I kept doing it and they kept offering a "free month" that was actually 3 and now I'm on a free trial through May 23, 2020.

Those offers are weird. Last year I got one to my main accounts email, but I was still logged into the account I made for a free trial, and when I clicked the link it activated for the second account. A few months later my burner email got one of the offers, so remembering what happened before I logged into my main account, and lo and behold, it gave the main one 3 months.

That weekend, Cass lost his match against Daniel Bryan at Backlash (it's unclear if this was the idea all along or if the finish was changed after the events on TV) and then a few days later, he wasn't even used on Smackdown as we noted here.

On their YouTube recap of the segment, WWE edited out the footage of the punches, pretty much confirming that Cass went off script.

Raw in 1995 is so trash. Just an awful build up to WM where besides LT/Bam Bam and Diesel/HBK, basically there was no build. A couple of matches were set up at the Rumble but then there was no progression or even acknowledgment of them until about a week before the show (JJ/Razor, Taker vs Bundy). Almost every match besides the top two literally had 1-2 interactions between principals over the span of 3 months, including promos, and sometimes none at all. A couple of matches were announced with literally no storyline whatsoever and didn't even get mentioned on the run down by Vince himself.

Most of WM season was dedicated to debuting new characters and gimmicks in squash matches, most of which didn't even make it on the WM card. Oh, but the fucking Harris Brothers did. Right after WM you think something new has got to happen...HBK is off TV for 6 weeks, Nash gets to feud with Sid, Bam Bam gets a face turn and feuds with the always trash Million Dollar Corporation, Bret gets sucked into feuding with Lawler/all the New Gen gimmicky heels far far away from the top of the card (he legit goes 6 months just wrestling pirates/dentists/pig farmers/mantaurs/ninjas).

It's just trash. And what's worse is the first In Your House had a better build in about 6 weeks than WM had in 3 months.

Fox has won the rights to Smackdown, which will be returning to Friday nights. The deal is reported to be 5 years for ONE BILLION DOLLARS. USA also just reupped for Raw for $300M a year. And the Saudi deal is rumored to be in the hundreds of millions range over 10 years.

TLDR: WWE is worth nearly $4.5 BILLION even before this deal. To put it into perspective, WWE is worth more than what Disney paid for Star Wars. Vince McMahon now has a net worth of $2.3B, making him richer than Ted Turner.
