I gave elementary a go. Pretty impressed by how quick it is. The OS X cribbing makes me die a little though and overlay scrollbars are and have always been awful. Also they need to change that default font, looks shit. 6/10. GNOME is still the boss bitch, just needs an actual good fucking implementation finally. I feel like the last Ubuntu before they switched to Unity is the high-water mark.

They make overpriced PC's, sure, but Aqua is pretty damn awesome to me. I haven't seen a good/smooth GUI since besides like Gnome 3 but that doesn't have the same "magic" Aqua does.

10.4 wasn't too bad, but yeah that mail redesign was just "what?"

I also liked 10.4 because it introduced Widgets which kinda fell on their face within a year (but hell it had Yahoo trying to copy them for Windows because of the hype behind it) but 10.3 was probably the last "good" update to the OS due to Expose.

Nah.
