I got banned from a bakery, what's my recourse
Long story short, I got into a heated argument with one of the employees because they ended up deciding to close shop earlier than their established business hours. The employee apparently locked the doors at 15 minutes before closing time, but I had no way of knowing that because I walked in their door as a couple patrons were walking out. So this person had closed the cash register, so I basically called her out on it, and it eventually spiraled into a back and forth argument, eventually culminating in me calling her a "fucking cunt". So I've now been banned for life, but this was around 6 months ago.

I've been going to this establishment daily for years. So my question is, what is my recourse? What steps can I take to have this ban rescinded -- if not from the gm working there, then perhaps from the corperate higher ups? Can I testify on my behalf, because there are 2 stories in this tale, and I didn't wake up that day spoiling for this confrontation. No one was harmed. There was no theft involved, I wasn't soliciting for money, etc.. This was basically a heated incident that escalated into an ugly moment.

To answer some of the questions:

It was for 2 bagels. They didn't have to slice it up, or toast it, etc.. All they had to do is bag 2 of them up and ring them up on the cash register. I'm a regular. They know who I am, They know what I order. I never dine in. I just basically make my order, pay the cash, and walk out the door.

As far as apologize, I don't know how that's going to be feasible, especially with this woman, who seems to have taken her grudge to an old testament level. I can't honestly say that I'm sorry for calling her that, either. To my mind, she was being one. Not simply because of her deciding to close shop early, but her entire attitude, and the way she was carrying herself after the fact. We all encounter people like that. The only caveat I can really offer is to promise not to use the term in the future.

But how long can bans last? Again, this was heat of the moment.
