I think the hostility is blown way out of proportion. There is a giant thread, always near the front page, with constant activity, that turns into a chat room every time GB streams something. People talk a lot of shit on the internet, but it's obvious there were a LOT of people that liked their output on the whole.

All of this "GAF hated GB" seems like revisionist history to me. A minority of loud naysayers might just be occupying your perception entirely.

Someone made a thread recently calling GTA4 for consoles "unplayable" because of its graphics.

I don't understand that mindset at all.  But I'm one of the (apparently) few who loved GTA4.  When I wanted a break between missions I would wait for rain, then jump in a taxi, ride around the city and marvel at the fine touches like the sheets of rain whipping through the streets and the traffic lights swaying in the wind.
