I'll probably keep reading forums until this place shuts down.  I've done well for myself so it isn't as if it is some huge impediment, resulting in me living in my mom's basement.  There were some times that I took it way too seriously but for now, I just like reading opinions of some people here.  Unless it has significant adverse effects on your life, I don't see why you would stop.  Most of my friends only care about sports and I'm too much of a nerd to just ignore everything else except for sports like them.  So I like to talk about various aspects of nerdery like technology and video games.

I think you're lumping together valid complaints with irrational hatred. Speaking out against radical extremists promoting violence isn't Islamophobia. Speaking out against a legal system based on inequality is something everyone should do.

As someone who has started more than a few threads that devolved into rampant xenophobia, I haven't noticed a huge increase recently, except the natural one stemming from GAF's overall growth. I've noticed it outside of GAF though, but that's an economic meltdown thing.

Yes, but the point is: GAF bans for open-talk of piracy. But mostly for games. Either they need to do it for everything (film, tv, movies, games, etc) or don't do it. Some people get away with it because they're talking about anything not video-games and it's a double-standard of GAF's moderation.

I'm not generally one to snitch on people pirating (because hey, I've done it myself) but again: if GAF is gonna ban over it, it should be everything.

He means Evilore removed the copywrite of the board software and since it's a licensed board that has to be paid-for to use the software the terms state you can't remove the copywrite (IIRC), which means legal action according to Momo or whatever. I doubt Jelsoft cares but it can't hurt if you wanted to cause an annoyance I guess?
