People complaining about collateral damage in a superhero movie now but seem to forget it all when it comes The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, etc.

The collateral damage in The Avengers pales in comparison. And in the Avengers, you see examples of the heroes actively trying to stem it.

In The Dark Knight Rises, the collateral damage is part of the point of the movie. To the plot.

In Superman, it's just explosion destruction wankfest bullshit.

Apparently after the GL movie sucked bad and wasn't much of a success they nixed the idea of it being the first and are rebooting it at some point. My guess Bats, GL or both get the Avengers Hulk treatment by just having some new dude show up with GL being the most likely especially with all the JGL as Batman rumors.

They've already said that it's a new Batman, but no one needs an introduction to Batman.  Originally WB/DC wanted to do the opposite of The Avengers and make a Justice League film first to introduce those characters and spin off individual movies.  Green Lantern has the benefit of several members.  Swap out Hal for John, add in some diversity.  Or a mash of John and Kyle, just so he'd smile more.  Flash can't be the only character who smiles.

there were a couple easter eggs in the movie, like the wayne enterprises logo on the satellite.  Green Lantern only had Amanda Waller, I think.

WB should just hire Justin Lin and put "My Name Is" tags on the Fast cast.  Paul Walker for Aquaman, Han as Batman, etc.

I really DGAF how well it does. I always expected it to do well. Hell, I'm even hoping for a sequel (if only because 7 years is too long between Supes movies that aren't separate trilogy bookends.)

Holy shit, really? That would suck but I think a lot of Man Of Steel was so that they can keep the license and as long as it makes it's budget back I don't see how there won't be a sequel or anything like that.

Lol, Warner owns DC, they don't need to worry about licenses.

Movie was exactly what I expected, some cool action scenes and a bunch of nonsense, also a little dirt and blood on superman and Zod would have made wonders for that fight I mean superman doesn't even lose his hairdue after being thrown around half metropolis (killing a massive amount of civilians in the process)
