Ipswich off to a flyer! Played two, lost two.

In truth , the 2-1 against Reading sounded like we were unfortunate and the team that went out away to Stevenage saw 6 changes. I think the Capital cup is an unwelcome distraction for a team like ipswich that needs to solidify our mid-table mediocrity

Also - as i've lost about 7kg since the start of the year this is the first time i've felt "comfy" ordering a -small- English football top - the medium ones were a smidgen big when i was a bit more rotund anyways, but the new one is skin tight so yeah - thank christ i've shed some beef. Can't wait to give it a run out :D

I'm not even sure I have NBC Sports. My problem with EPL and to a lesser extent MLS, is that I can never watch games because they're never on tv. I have watched all of 3 games of my Dynamo play on local my television station. That's how many games they've SHOWN.

The QPR ones are positively tiny. A medium is super tight on me and only barely goes past my belly button, and I wear a 38/48 or a medium generally. Fuck Lotto, can't wait until their contract is up at the end of the season. Good win for you lot yesterday.

Fucking Ajax lost cause ref gave a red card to van Rijn for nothing when they were up 2-1. Oh well.

Arsenal fans - the problem is that Wenger is shite in the transfer market - he's had a little play with getting in Rooney and Suarez but he's just poor at attracting big names to the club. I like Wenger as a manager but he's shockingly one dimensional in the transfer market.

On the result itself - Villa were playing some nice football at the end of last season and they have a young team at their core and a good manager at the helm. In stark contrast to Wenger, Lambert managed to pursuade their star Benteke to stay. Still - early results don't define a season.

Ipswich v QPR - sounds like we were well beaten in terms of football but we fell asleep in the dying seconds to give away the point we'd nearly earned. Not too paniced and i think Mick is realistic in targeting 6th place - i think we'll put most teams away at home, and we're going to be much harder to beat away than the last few years where we were on the end of 7-1, 6-0 style drubbings. Things are brighter and i at least don't expect to be in a relegation dogfight.

My local team Carlisle United are filling the role of Massive Disappointment this year - even though they beat Blackburn in the cup (looool) they have , league wise, played 3 and lost 3 - but have managed to concede 12 goals in those games. That's pretty damned worrying.

It's hard not to blame Wenger a bit for Arsenals position, that said he has managed to get them into the CL more often then not with limited funds compared to other big teams.

Ajax beat Feyenoord today :rock

that said he has managed to get them into the CL more often then not with limited funds compared to other big teams.

he's had funds for the last two seasons and in the run up to this season he was given a reported 85 million to spend.

And what has he done with it? brought in Sanogo - which admittedly is a good move if one that needs time to bake. He needs class players and hasn't bothered to bring in anyone - just a list of players they were trying to sign but failed. Failed to land Gustavo too - nice work and just how they managed to sabotage the Higuain deal is beyond me. How did he manage to screw that one up?!

This quote, if i was an arsenal fan, would make my blood boil :

"People say: 'Buy players, buy players, buy players … ' But who?"

Are you kidding me? Really???

Fellaini, Baines, Ashley Williams, Michu, Gamez, Dzeko, Jovetic, Ljajic, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Remy, Muniain, etc...

If Arsenal fail to land Rooney or Suarez then Wenger needs taken round the back of the shed and booted up the arse.

He's coming off as a miserly scrooge who, even when given cash, simply can't find any players to spend it on. That's negligent.

Think you were a tad unlucky - couldn't make it yesterday but was listening to the comms and it sounds like they defended well. Barton played a blinder in midfield by all accounts and combined with Henry I think it was tough for them to create much.

gustavo is reportedly on 130k/week at wolfsburg, wenger ain't making him the highest paid player at arsenal. i'm sure it's their wage structure that's holding him back a fair bit and why higuian probably didn't happen and why suarez/rooney won't happen and he'll continue to get random players out of the french league

Nah I usually sit either in the first or second rows. That's just from my seat, no zoom or anything. Probably my favourite thing about Loftus Road is how close you are, no leg room though!
