Not particularly.

That's what I was thinking. I thought that when the 3DS launched it was off to a pretty bad start, but once the first price drop occurred, it started selling like hotcakes.

The reasoning behind the 2DS is solid- a less expensive hardware option to launch simultaneously with their biggest franchise.

But man... the execution is so awful.

I hate to come off like the PSP/Vita stans of yore (Bububu what about digital) but I really do wonder what effect full eShop releases are having on reported software sales. For some titles it's up to 30% being digital.

But I suppose what's really important is whether third parties think their software is selling, and I'm not sure I get that feeling. I can't remember the last awesome 3rd party 3DS exclusive announcement.
