Reno Priest or Warlock.

In a control matchup, you use it to pull out cards like Reno/Jarraxxus or anything with a strong battlecry. Denying it's use to the opponent. You just have to make sure you have an answer if you pull out something strong like Rag or Ysera.

In aggro matchup, you save it until the opponent is top decking or has a few cards left. It's a pretty annoying taunt for them to bypass when they are trying to close the game out.

Buncha classic cards going to wild after the next rotation. Kinda surprised to see Ice Lance here.

Also adventures are done, which is kinda disappointing, though I'll never have enough dust to beat all the heroic challenges anyway. Three 130 card xpacs a year now.

1. No more adventures is a fail imho, it was fun SP content and some cards everyone could get.

2. Banning classic cards is a fail imho, as it is a common thing that everyone could strive for and should be the base of the game.

3. 3 expansions per year is a lot maybe? why not a bit less but more tweaks to the meta on the go...

They have to ban/nerf classic cards, or give HS a perennial set. I have zero issues with the nerfs, tho I'm sad I can't get stb value anymore. I'll adjust. Hopefully we see some stronger 2-turn options next xpac

It seems like they banned a lot of card slower decks needed... just going to make the meta even more about turn 1. It's ridiculous really.

There is no point at all at the moment to play a slow deck in standard, and thats the only thing I ever play.

Instead of nerfing rush shit decks they are doubling down on that being the only meta.

For the casual player I think classic was something you could safely invest in, that's what I did at least, but now it feels thats not the right way to go.

You now have to be on board of the latest xpac every time to be competitive, and also only if you dumb ass aggro.

I keep playing this dumb shit regardless but its like a pachinko machine really.

It's a catch-22 for this game. You want to collect (and play) cards that are versatile and powerful, but if Blizzard allows them to be around forever, then you will never play anything else. Unless Blizzard purposely powercreeps cards to make you choose them instead. But then that opens another whole can of worms of balance issues.

I like Rag, Sylvanas and Drake, but I don't want to feel compelled to keep putting them into Standard decks in 2019.

Retiring them to Wild is a better solution than nuking them from ever seeing play again (like they did to Molten Giant and a few Druid cards last year).

So you can use the cards when it's possible to use the cards. You played with your Classic cards, yes?

Blizzard is pretty upfront about this game not being a CCG. If you choose to believe you're collecting anything in it, that's your prerogative of course, but it's not one rooted in much reality.

The new arena has really eaten into my gold savings. Only 2500 this time. Usually I'm sitting on 4000.

I'll have a bunch of dust to craft things though. Sitting on 3500 and will be getting that sweet HOF dust.

I had insomnia last night and played too much HS.

I've picked up aggro Shaman in the past week, just because I've run out of fun decks to play. It absolutely destroys Pirate Warriors, Jade Druid and Rogues. Currently at Rank 7, the earliest I've ever gotten this high. I beat a pro player (Naiman) last night during my climb.

I'm hoping to go balls out and see how far I can go with this broken deck before the rotation hits.

I'm kind of concerned this deck will still be really good, even if Trogg/Totem Golem get removed. You only really need to find a replacement for Golem. Trogg can be replaced by an argent squire.

I feel like after this expansion there will be more tools than ever to deal with early aggro. So, it's really on the player if they want to include them. Kind of limits deck building when you have to include those cards just to survive, but at least the options are there.

I think that's part of the reason why Shaman was so popular. It was the most versatile class in dealing with all kinds of decks.

With no dragons and no reno, I doubt priest is still fun. New Priest cards also sucks so I used all my 600 dust and crafted a bunch of elemental minions and legys and the shaman quest :p

I crafted that new Rogue quest and started to play it. It's kind of broken, but can be countered.

I'm currently rank 4, so it's really a bad spot to be experimenting with new decks.

They dropped the "Heroes of Warcraft" tag recently from the game so they could have more freedom in creating their own characters.

Starting next expansion, they are going to be having free Single Player content with every release. Which will build more stories behind their characters. They'll probably have recurring characters like they did with Elise this set.

The two legendaris i got are for the elemental shaman deck which is decent at least and got
me to 13.

So pissed I wasted so much dust on crap.

The more I play the more I like the expansion. They did a great job designing the elementals. They all feel pretty good and there are enough of them you can build some interesting decks.

It does suck about the costs of those quests. I crafted Rogue Quest on day one, but I find it pretty dull. Either it works and you cheese a win, or you have a handful of crap cards and no way to win.

I played a lot of Arena over the weekend. Had some great runs (11 wins twice, 10 wins twice and 9 wins three times). Envenom weapon for Rogues is RIDICULOUS in Arena. The tempo swing is just too much when you can trade 6 health to kill a huge taunt.

I'm really not enjoying the quest aspect. Exodia Mage and the Rogue quests seem to make up 75% of my opponents. Exodia mage is particularly frustrating as you can't really do anything. Ratting out and killing an apprentice only to see four of them pop up on the board next turn anyway is maddening.

I made it to rank 1 and then slipped all the way back to rank 4. It was too discouraging, so I gave up.

One day ...

I haven't really found a deck that clicks with me yet. Quest rogue, different variants of Paladin, Mage, Taunt Warrior. Kind of dull. I want to try a heavy control Shaman, but I can't afford it yet.

Just play pirate warrior, you've got 11 months til it rotates out and you can probably smorc your way to legend. Or just flip between token shaman/freeze mage

I think I'll be able to get there with (slower) mid-range Paladin. It doesn't really have any lopsided matchups in the current meta.
