Thomas Dolby. Yes.

JJ Abrams, in Wired or Make or somesuch, called The Golden Age of Wireless a desert island album.

It is arguable that The Flat Earth is both stylistically and technically the superior album.

Please discuss why JJ, though a being of supreme drive and hubris, has neglected this sophomore effort.

PS: thoroughly lit, and the young Japanese woman in denim hot pants next to me on the train may have been distracting me.

I don't know what you're talking about so your post reads like a Martin Raperman post.

Seek out his interview with Marc Maron. It's really good.

She got off at the next stop; it was a serious pair of Daisy Dukes, except they were rolled up. I mean, seriously, wow.

God damnit, that's a career loss, and it goes on the back of my pro card. Shit.

Thomas Dolby, to people of my age group, of which much of The Bore does not belong, was an electronic music pioneer. Europa and the Pirate Twins was a defining moment in New Wave music. Dolby tried a jazzier, more mellow approach to his unfortunately short 2nd album (37 minutes!), and it more or less torpedo'd his radio time, despite being a more listenable album.

Sadly, this is the Chrono-version of a drunk thread. I was listening to this album, and feeling pretty strongly that it should be reported on.
