Ironically, there is a pretty major Senate scandal, with the RCMP investigating at least three Senators for fraudulent expense claims, including one Senator getting a $90k payoff from the Prime Minister's chief of staff, who was subsequently fired, with the faint hint of a coverup from the PM's office. Three of the Senators were suspended without pay today.

So this actually is serving as quite the distraction from more significant matters for the governing Conservatives.

Also, today council held a symbolic vote on a motion to ask him to step aside. It passed 37-5. Two of the five nay votes were, of course, Ford himself and his brother.
