Getting a bit bored of my rogue/cleric, mainly because mages are so ridiculously OP and I need to switch to +now gear mid battle for my rogue if I want to go ranged instead of backstab. Cleric is fine now I've given her some offensive spells since she can't hit anything with melee.

I'd like to see how a four Mage glass cannon group would do in this. As long as you got your summons up I assume you'd be fine.

I'm fine with the loot. It's a traditional rpg, after all, not Diablo. Plus, there's plenty of items. Just in the first city with 5 hours clocked and my girl is stacked.

With items.

I mean, she's stacked elsewhere, but she's got like a billion items in her pocket.

I'm level 13 now and most of my gear was picked up ages ago. Everything I get now is +resistance only or lorecraft and black smithing or something equally useless.

Also fuck whoever decided all ice surfaces could trigger falling. I know I can craft my way around it but having it work out of combat is all sorts of stupid.

That's coming in the next patch, but I think it's probably still a month or so away.

...of course, you'll have to buy RoS to get access to it.

I've hit level 15 now and I'm fucking sick of the main quest story, it's utter bollocks. The side quests are great though.

Mass Effect 2 and SMT4 main quests were great. I also enjoy what I've played of Witcher 2's main quest.

Caved on my 'never pay retail on steam' rule and got this last night cause I haven't had a game I could really sink my teeth into in a while. Only played an hour or two yesterday but I'm enjoying it so far, though it's a bitter reminder of how badly I need to build a new PC. I'm gonna muck around in the multiplayer tonight. No specific numbers have been mentioned recently, but Sven [the head guy at Larian] mentioned a few days ago that Divinity: Original Sin had sold "well over half a million copies" and was past the break-even point:

The final boss fight of the Cyseal map was really giving my some trouble. You fight the last boss and three of the previous bosses in a large open room where they can just rip you to shreds. I bypassed this by leaving three of my characters outside the room and then aggroing with my fourth character, then using the teleport pyramids to jump back to the entrance to the room. The toughest of the four bosses blocked the doorway because of his size and so I used the opportunity to tear into him. Killed him after a few rounds and managed to take out one of the other bosses, too. But I was running low on health, so I had everyone flee from battle [except one who was killed] and then healed up by using the teleport pyramids again to jump back into the fight with the remaining bosses, who weren't too hard at that point.

I didn't see the competitive roleplaying mode coming at all though. Larian keeping it fresh.
