Same group of propagandists who have spent most of 2022 claiming Russia wouldn't possibly attack Ukraine, Russia will win the war within days, Ukrainians are Nazis developing biolab weapons, US weapons aren't reaching Ukrainian soldiers, etc are now telling us the US bombed the pipeline. Yea ok.

I used to think like you and be more liberal. I have simply concluded that left are politics are "wrong" in my very binary brain. I spent a lifetime thinking and propagating progressive politics. Light switch went off and now I deny them. They often bring up problems that need resolving but I'm not convinced on the majority of their solutions, not that the right is correct about everything. I am also stubborn.

That's "old news" in some regards, the CCP has long kept tabs on their citizens living abroad, they technically can't do much in the other countries but they are known for putting pressure on family members still in China and also grabbing you if you ever come back. They used to do this through Party cadres who would "unofficially make suggestions" but this seems to be just an officialization of what has long been practice by the CCP.

There's been a number of instances of the Chinese police showing up at family members (in China) and having them call someone living in the West making critical comments of CCP/Xi/etc. on Twitter and then telling them about all the bad things that are going to happen if they don't stop. I would assume the creation of these is so they can start doing that in person.
