seriously how is it a travesty?  the xbox one version is a 76/100.  the game runs 1080p 60fps for me on PC.  the worst thing Ubisoft did was have an overly cautious review embargo, which came off--rightfully--as shady.  but the game itself is not a travesty.  and actually improves a lot of the animations, gameplay mechanics and graphics from previous games.

if you dont like AC this wont change your mind though, that i agree with.

The film scared me so badly when I was a kid I refuse to watch it to this day. This is the one that had a witch turn some knights or a knight into a pig right? Something about that was so horrifying to me.

Keep in mind my aunt also let me watch Nightmare on Elm St. and Alien around the same time and Willow is the only one I refuse to even engage with to this day.

The backlash against Unity is super overblown.  The biggest letdown to me is that it feels like more of the same, but it's still by far a better game than previous low points like AC:Rev and 3. Unity actually feels like Revelations but with all the garbage parts cut out of the game.

I get that people were always going to be super critical of Unity after the "women are hard to animate" backlash (which is another statement that got taken the wrong way and blown out of proportion) and being the first next-gen AC, but I don't know why people were expecting an AC game to suddeny not play like AC. Plus you'd think that people would already know that open-world games are generally littered with bugs due to their very design, yet here we are.

I rewatched Hook after Robin Williams' death and really didn't like most of it. It has a lot going for it, especially a beautiful soundtrack, but it's kind of an ugly film. The design of Never Land looks so uninspired to me, and they don't even really explore the setting. You see an ugly Lost Boys camp, an ugly pirate ship...and that's about it.

I think the movie rebounds a bit towards the end but it's still not a "good" movie.

Eh I could get being bummed about the character not being in it. Ubi is much better at writing good villains than heroes. Part of the reason I'm more interested in that last gen AC, since you play the whole thing as the bad guy.
